What this policy covers
This policy explains how Prividnote: Video Notebook and its Photos Share extension handle information. Prividnote is provided by Abrazo Software LLC. This policy covers version 1.0 of the app. A service or app that receives a copy you choose to share has its own terms and privacy practices.
What Prividnote keeps on your iPhone
Prividnote stores the following information in app-owned local storage:
- Videos you select, record, or share into the app, plus locally generated thumbnails.
- On-device transcripts, original and corrected transcript lines, and the local search index.
- Video and group names, roles, sessions, people, places, topics, notes, saved moments, and transcript vocabulary.
- Import, indexing, recovery, storage, and purchase-entitlement state needed to run the app.
Temporary extracted audio is used for transcription and removed when that work finishes, fails, or is cancelled. Search previews and thumbnails are regenerable cache files.
What Abrazo collects from the app
The app has no account, Abrazo API, remote transcription, remote AI, advertising, application analytics, or custom crash uploader.
Prividnote does not send your videos, audio, transcripts, names, labels, notes, saved moments, search terms, or diagnostic reports to Abrazo. A diagnostic report is created locally only when you ask for one. It contains app and build versions, device and iOS versions, item counts, workflow state counts, and storage totals. It excludes video, audio, transcript text, filenames, labels, notes, and search terms.
Where Apple may be involved
Prividnote uses Apple system features that remain under your device and Apple account settings:
- Photos and files. The system picker gives Prividnote only the videos you select. Apple Photos may download an iCloud-only item before the app can copy it.
- Speech assets. Apple may download a language asset. After it is installed, Prividnote uses Apple's on-device speech framework for transcription.
- StoreKit. Apple processes the lifetime-indexing purchase. The app receives verified entitlement status and never receives payment-card details. Apple may provide Abrazo with App Store transaction and financial reports.
- Device backup. iOS may include app data in an Apple-managed device backup according to your system settings.
Apple's services are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. Their network activity is separate from an Abrazo cloud library, which Prividnote does not have.
Permissions you control
Camera and microphone access are requested only when you record a video. Add-only Photos access is requested only when you choose to save a separate copy to Photos. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
You control the local library
- Prividnote keeps library data while the app is installed and until you remove it.
- A removed video stays in Recently Deleted for 30 days unless you delete it permanently sooner. Expired items are removed when the app next runs its cleanup.
- Permanent deletion removes the app's media record, transcript, saved moments, and related data. If iOS temporarily prevents file cleanup, the app finishes orphan cleanup on a later launch.
- Deleting a session unfiles its videos instead of deleting them. That organization change can be undone.
- Deleting Prividnote can remove the whole app-owned library, including recordings that exist nowhere else.
Copies saved to Photos, sent through the share sheet, or included in an Apple-managed backup are outside the app's deletion control. Delete those copies through the destination that holds them. Export important material before deleting the app.
Abrazo has no Prividnote cloud copy to delete for ordinary app use. You do not need an account-deletion request because version 1.0 has no account.
iOS protects app-owned files
Prividnote stores its database, videos, imports, and extension handoffs in private app containers. Those files use iOS Data Protection with protection available after the first device unlock following a restart. The app avoids writing transcript text, filenames, people, places, and raw internal identifiers to its ordinary logs.
Messages you choose to send
If you email Abrazo for support or a privacy question, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer you, investigate the issue, and meet legal obligations. We keep support correspondence only as long as it is needed for those purposes.
Loading this public page sends an ordinary web request to Vercel, the website host. Vercel may process request information such as an IP address, browser details, the requested URL, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Website traffic is not combined with a Prividnote library. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Children
Prividnote is not directed to children under 13. The app does not collect data from ordinary use. Contact us if you believe a child sent information to support so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
Policy changes
If Prividnote's data practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated before the new practice applies when notice or consent is required.
